It's been strangely sunny for this time of year. Not that I'm complaining as it means I can be out on the pitch or just outside in general more. I hate the days I get stuck wandering the castle with all it's gloom. I know it was years ago and maybe it's just the stories my dad told me, but sometimes I can sense the grief and fear when my hand runs along the stone walls. I hate that feeling. The only way I can shake it is to go fly or play my guitar. 

Speaking of which I haven't played Maddie in a few days. Maybe I should take her out into the courtyard and get some air. There's some lyrics I wrote the other day that I could try and work out a melody for. What I wouldn't give for access to a piano.

I got a letter from my dad yesterday. My stepmom is pregnant. Dad says they're thrilled and I guess I am too. It will be weird though having such a huge age gap between me and this kid.I wonder what they'll be like.

Thanks. It's part of a song..or at least it will be. I'm trying to work it out on my guitar.

Oh really? We've been going to the same school for how long now and I can't believe I didn't know you play guitar! How completely awful of me! I bet it will sound amazing.

So are you like.. okay and stuff hon? Having a new sibling sounds like it will be exciting! I would love one, but as if my Dad will date anyone. Oy.

S'ok. I'm usually off in a corner or up in a tree when I play. Not like I do it in front of a lot of people.

Yeah I'm okay. Just lonely It will be good I guess. I know dad and Rena are really chuffed.

You play too? I guess I'm just learning all sorts of things today.

A little sister might be nice. I grew up with all boys, so it might be fun to have a girl around.

Haha! My bad. Misprint on my part, Alex. Well, I guess I can play the kazoo, but what I meant was that you should play for me!

Aww! A little girl would be so sweet! I think you'd make a great protector.

You really want me to play for you? I could but since you're head girl and all, maybe you know if there's a piano hiding in this place somewhere? I'm a little better on that and I've been dying since we got back from hols to play one.

Honestly I haven't gone in there for anything other than an occassional gathering. Perhaps I should try that. Maybe you could come with me?
